Lockdown in Thailand means you get to enjoy your surroundings. Khao Lak is a beautiful place to be “stuck” for a lockdown. While the national parks were mostly closed, the beach was open with surf and there was one stretch of the Lam Ru National Park that was open for the full fare. It is a jungle walk from the main entrance down to Little White Sandy Beach and you come out at the main road on the way up.
We visited Toh Chong Fah Waterfall which is not in a national park. It was empty for 30 minutes until a family came to enjoy the falls too. It was nice to have time to get my camera and tripod setup for long exposure photography. The waterfall photos were somewhere between 1/2 second up to 5 second exposures.
